You can vary the herbs you include so you can get the exact flavor combination you’re looking for. It’s a perfect dip or dressing. You can also use it as a condiment to make it easier to eat your vegetables!
Variations
- Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil for healthy fats and a thin but satisfying texture
- Add ½ cup of ripe pureed avocado for healthy fats and a creamier texture. Blend the ingredients in a blender or with a hand mixer to keep them smooth
- Try white wine or rice vinegar instead of lemon juice

Recipe for Light and Creamy Ranch Dressing
Makes 5 servings (2 tablespoons each)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup nonfat plain Greek yogurt
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons fresh lemon juice (or can sub apple cider vinegar)
- 1/2 teaspoon dried dill or fresh chopped chives
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons water to thin dressing
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon honey
Directions
- Add all ingredients to a bowl or a mason jar and mix until well combined.
- If using a mason jar, you can put the lid on and shake the jar until well combined.
