Like many Lark members, Kashanna knew she needed to improve her health. She even was aware of the healthy changes she needed to make. However, long workdays left her with little time or energy to focus on her well-being. Her struggle wasn’t only related to lack of time, but also a lack of education on sustainable ways to manage her weight and stay active. Little did she know that a chance encounter with a Facebook ad for Lark would soon become a turning point in her health journey.

Whether it’s through their PBM, health plan, or employer, Lark members have many paths to enroll. “I discovered I had access to Lark through my health plan,” Kashanna shared. “I had no idea that something like this was even covered, but when I saw the ad, I decided to look into it. The timing was perfect because I was just beginning to think seriously about losing weight.”

Weight loss is a journey, and it’s important for people on this journey to experience early results for both validation that the weight loss program they choose works and to stay motivated. Having only been in Lark’s program for only three months, Kashanna is already experiencing the benefits. “My primary reason for signing up was to track my weight loss and physical activity,” she explained. “Some of my health goals are to lose 50 pounds, eat more balanced meals, and be more physically active. Lark is helping me achieve my goal by holding me accountable.”

One pleasant surprise Kashanna encountered was the ease of getting the devices she needed to kick start her journey. “I didn’t know I could receive a scale and Fitbit through my health plan. Lark made the process of getting my scale very simple and quick,” she said, impressed by how smoothly everything fell into place.

Lark members can reach their coaches anywhere, 24/7, and this evergreen support provided by the Lark app became a crucial part of her routine. “The app is very helpful, providing daily check-ins for motivation, health tips, and meal suggestions,” Kashanna noted. “I like the missions in the app. It allows me to challenge myself throughout the week. As I complete missions, you get recognition notes that keep you motivated, that you can look back on for support.”

While Kashanna is excited to attend one of Lark’s many educational webinars that we host for our members, she found the in-app messaging to be a great source of guidance and motivation. “The in-app is great; you can tap the link and immediately read the education in real time and apply it directly to your day.”

Kashanna’s enthusiasm for Lark is something she’s eager to share with friends who have similar health goals. “I highly recommend my friends enroll with Lark because I’m actually seeing my progress just from using the Lark app and scale,” she said. “The Lark program is very user-friendly. I can really track my day-to-day activity and make immediate adjustments.”
