Visual Designer

A Visual Designer candidate at lark is an artist who loves perfecting designs on screen. They have a style that jives with the lark aesthetic, but would bring a great new perspective. They also have a strong attention for details while maintaining simplicity.

A Visual Designer will be the driving force in all of lark design, including the mobile app (iPhone and iPad), the website, and marketing materials. They will be working with the Interaction Designers to produce the best user experience possible with their visual masterpieces.

Requirements:

• Outstanding portfolio
• Degree in visual design, fine art, illustration, or equivalent
• 2+ years designing icons and/or interfaces
• Demonstrable mastery of Photoshop/Illustrator and other design software
• Web/iOS experience strongly preferred
• Experience with high-end printing a plus

Android Developer

Join our engineering team and lead the development of Android applications that will coach and inspire people to improve their lives.

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience in Android development and expertise with Android 4.x
• Experience with HTML5 and Bluetooth development is a plus
• Startup experience and a desire to move quickly
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent)

Marketing/Graphic Designer

The Marketing/Graphic Designer at lark will lead the evolution of the company’s visual and brand identity and be responsible for creating highly effective, visually engaging and brand-consistent digital and print materials for the marketing and sales team.

This person will manage all marketing communications including the company website, product packaging, email campaigns, search marketing landing pages, promotions, tradeshow events and conferences, online display advertising, social media, retail sales sheets including flyers, postcards, brochure, and infographics.

Requirements:

• Outstanding portfolio
• Degree in Marketing, Graphic Design or equivalent work
• 3+ years of creative agency or marketing communications
• Demonstrable mastery of Adoboe CS5 Suite and other design software
• Familiarity with HTML/CSS is preferred (javascript is a plus)
• Experience with high-end printing

Brilliant Back-End Developer / Data Analysis Junkie

Requirements:

• 2+ years experience using machine learning, preferably in a startup environment
• Expertise in a practical form of machine learning
• Experience working with the LAMP stack and python (to work with the backend team)
• Several past projects demonstrating successful use of machine learning for a useful outcome
• Desire to explore the unexplored and do something different
• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in computer science (or equivalent)

UI/UX Designer

A lark Mobile UI/UX Designer is someone who knows how to build a great user experience through strong user empathy. Excellent interaction design is core to lark's mission, and is the driving force behind our products.

The Mobile UI/UX Designer will lead the design direction of the lark mobile app experience, and will work directly with the core team that brought lark and larklife into Apple Stores worldwide.

Requirements:

• 3+ years experience designing user experience on web/mobile
• Understands design principles behind designing for Mac OS X, and iOS — familiarity with Android a plus
• Expert knowledge of industry tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Balsamiq, etc)
• Degree in interaction design, human computer interaction, industrial design, or equivalent
• Outstanding Portfolio; Experience with rapid prototyping design
• Loves helping people improve
